TOTEM POLE WORKSHOP

Service Description

You'll get to practice all the basic pottery hand building techniques in this four session workshop. Hand build discs, cylinders and a couple of spheres to create enough totem pole parts to achieve one metre in height when threaded onto a steel rod. We will look at other methods to create more height such as adding pieces of driftwood or found objects, and of course choose colour combos. You will need to attend 3 sessions to create your totem pole parts and a 4th session is required to decorate your clay creations after the initial bisque firing. Included in the cost of this workshop: clay, coloured slips & clear glaze plus two firings. Also included - driftwood (optional) and a length of steel to support your totem pole parts.
