Make your own Glazes

Interested in learning how to make your own glazes? In this workshop we will look at making a variety of glazes including special effect glazes, as well as engobes. You may have been buying truck-loads of commercial glazes up until now - and yes, they are positively beautiful and almost fool-proof but the prices continue to go up so it might be time to have a go at making your own. I highly recommend you find out just how easy (and less expensive) it is to make your own glazes including engobes/underglazes. Lots of test tiles will be provided for the group to apply a variety of glazes to (a matt glaze, a glossy glaze, a crackle or volcanic recipe). Once the tiles have been fired, we will agree on a day to get together to view and discuss the results. This session will take at least three hours. Please read T's & C's before booking.
